Spent the day bouldering at Tumbling Run. Excellent bouldering area with some unforgiving, yet fantastically textured, rock. So many good holds. We all mostly took it easy getting on nothing harder than V4. However I did take down the boulder pictured above, super classic Heavy Metal Kids V4. Definitely one of the coolest boulders I saw today and some of the best movement I’ve felt on a climb in the grade. If you’re in the central PA area I definitely recommend checking it out.

Sent Juggernaut yesterday at GS. Relatively quickly as well, 3-5 tries. Such a supreme climb, definitely a classic.

Not sure if I’m strong enough but my two projects at mt gretna for the fall and winter seasons are going to be: Year of the Dragon V7 and Feel my Pain V7. Extremely stoked on both. Of course I still need to send coleflesh…that sonofabitch.

New bouldering pad and joining Reading Rocks tomorrow. My climbing life is getting much better, both outdoors and indoors. Can’t wait to get back in the groove.
So I just took a job in Reading, PA at the hospital there which means I’ll very likely start climbing at Reading Rocks sometime in the coming month. If any of the climbers I follow/follow me climb there let me know and we will crush together.
Also I guess this means I need to invest in a harness since their bouldering area is relatively limited and they have a ton of roped climbing. Looks like I’ll be learning how to lead at some point in the near future. Psyched.
